Quiet mail for busy people.
Inbox, calendar, contacts and to-dos in one app, with an assistant that notices what’s waiting on you and drafts the reply.

Your mail, your week and your people, side by side.
Move between mail, calendar, contacts and tasks with a keystroke. They share one look, one search and one set of shortcuts.
Calendar
Answer invitations right from the message, see your week at a glance, and share a booking link instead of the back-and-forth.
Contacts & tasks
An address book that fills itself in as you write, and to-dos that follow you to your phone.
Private addresses
A fresh address for every site you sign up to. Turn one off the day it starts sending spam.
Subscriptions
Every newsletter you receive in one list, and a way out of each in one click.
Share a thread
Send a link to a conversation instead of forwarding ten messages.
Keyboard first
A command palette and a shortcut for everything, from archive to compose.
On every device
Install it on your phone or computer, with a notification the moment mail arrives.
Six languages
English, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, Español and Português, picked from your browser.
It remembers, so you don’t have to.
mello’s assistant reads along quietly and only speaks up when something needs you.
- Follow-ups
When someone hasn’t replied, it tells you and drafts a friendly nudge.
- Reply reminders
Mail waiting on your answer comes back after a week, with a reply already written.
- Tasks from mail
Asked to do something? It suggests the to-do, with its date, for you to accept.
- Bring your own AI
Connect apps like Claude to your mailbox, with the permissions you choose.
Nothing is ever sent without you, and the assistant can be turned off in Settings.
Written from scratch, down to the last protocol.
mello’s mail server is our own code rather than a stack of borrowed parts, so we know exactly what happens to every message.
- Sender checks
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC on every message that arrives
- Remote images
- Blocked until you ask, so senders can’t tell when you read
- Message content
- Cleaned on the server and shown in a sandbox: scripts never run
- Sign-in
- Your password is kept in an encrypted session the page itself can’t read
- Spam
- A filter that learns from what you move to Junk and back
- In transit
- TLS on every connection, and MTA-STS between mail servers
Use mello, or the mail app you already love.

Questions
How do I get an account?
mello is invite only while we grow. Request an invite and we’ll send you a link to create your address.
Can I keep using my mail app?
Yes. mello speaks IMAP, SMTP, CalDAV and CardDAV, and sets up Apple devices for you.
Does the assistant read my mail?
Only to help you, and only while it’s on. It never sends anything by itself, and you can switch it off in Settings.
What is a private address?
A random address you hand out instead of your own. Mail to it reaches your inbox, and you can turn it off at any time without anyone getting a bounce.
Which languages does mello speak?
English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese: picked from your browser, or chosen in Settings.
